Reminds me of an Israeli soldier seperated from his unit during the Six Days War. He was lost in the desert until a luminous being appeared and guided him back to his fellow soldiers. I suspect these type of “urban legends” have been repeated by soldiers in every war ever fought.

indeed.. but they’re great stories though.

if they inspire morale in the troops , then so be it.
