I’d like to know what Erick means by “complementing each other.” Because knowing him, it’s read as “Men protect women, women should want to be protected, man wants sex, woman should want to have sex with man.”

That’s probably exactly what he means. He means that women should just accept any man who express interest in them because slut it’s not your place to tell a man you’re not interested in him.
