re: #94 Decatur Deb
In Italy, especially some of the prestigious cemeteries, graves are leased. Your descendants don’t make the payment, you can be evicted.
My wife and I have a reservation here at Rose Hill Cemetery with a couple of plots already purchased (cemetery plots are very inexpensive in rural Nebraska … my brother-in-law considered buying a bunch of them here and selling them to people in Texas).
We’re not the sort to put up a headstone while we’re still alive, which seems like asking for trouble. At the moment there is a park bench on our future home.
