Nike did it because they could. They provide all of the uniforms and apparel for all 32 teams, and the NFL just renewed their contract for the next eight years back in March.

I think it’s brilliant. Jerry Jones’s crusty old ass has to watch that commercial and know he can’t do anything about it because the contract with Nike is already a done deal and the season already started. It’s wonderful.

Oh yeah I know. I still can’t believe they flexed that hard. It is a dying league so I don’t think they are at the height of their power but it was still nice and bold by Nike.
