She and Trumper think the new North American trade deal replacement is going to generate the additional tax money from the economy to pay for The Donald J. Trump Wall of Glory®.

And here I thought they were hoping the additional money from the trade deal and the tax cuts would pay down the deficit and help Make America Great Again.

You know, that thing the Republicans always go on and on about…the deficit.

What was I thinking? /

Well sure.

Democratic administration, “The deficit is going to destroy us as a country.”.

Republican administration, “Deficits don’t matter!” (h/t to Darth Cheney and St. Ronnie)

And I have to say that Darth and Ronnie kinda mostly correct. Mostly in that deficits do matter a bit, but not a huge factor of economic destruction like the rightwing makes it out to be when they need a talking point lie to keep the rubes frothy.
