Every year someone in the Heart Defect community - usually a Heart Mom - will start wanting to “Contact Oprah about CHD kids! She’ll put some of us on TV and raise awareness!” It never happens.

If you aren’t a celebrity, have an Ostrich growing out of your head, or have a problem that can be solved in less than an hour by Oprahly advice, your ass isn’t touching Oprah’s couch.

People who know how to get Oprah’s attention can do it without writing “open letters.”
