My bandleader plays a Les Paul sunburst that he bought in the 60s. I’m sure it’s worth a lot.

I once went to a local blues jam and a guitar collector showed up with a vintage Les Paul that was worth something like $90,000. I just looked at it from a few feet away. I figure if I touched it and something went wrong with it I would be in big trouble.
