I still think it’s the other way round and that the GOP is the political wing of Fox. Trump pretty much seems to be taking instructions and guidance from Fox more than Fox is taking the lead from the GOP.

It’s really difficult to tell but I do think being media people, FNC has a better ear on what the GOP base wants to hear than the GOP political leadership.
