This isn’t exactly a hot take, but my prediction is that Trump gets absolutely curb stomped in the general, with huge margins run up in CA and the NE. If Trump eked out another electoral victory, could the country handle such an egregious, systemic “fuck you”? Leave aside the additional damage that Trump would do representing a far right minority, after being made to feel bullet proof by the Senate. The population centers would no longer matter.

If Great Grandpa Bacon were alive he’d be whipping out his IWW Red Book and organizing a General Strike to shut the whole country down like he tried to do in 1919 (and he got a nice jail sentence thanks to A. Mitchell Palmer over that…)
