I don’t think that retrograde group of ideals needs to be celebrated.

To the contrary, it must be pounded into the Southern Brain by education that their ancestors were wrong and morally bankrupt. They evidently have not gotten the lesson, as evidenced by the Trayvon shooting.

Celebrating the Confederacy is like celebrating the Nazi Period in Germany.

To move against a tomb like that would mark you as an asshole in the minds of most people. Desecration of a tomb or grave is seen as dishonoring the dead and their families, and is badly received the world over.

And I’m sorry but I have to ask: Wouldn’t doing that sort of thing provide a point of commonality between you and the House of Saud? That’s what the Wahabbi’s do to old graveyards, after all.
