Then there was the Bitconnect fiasco, a pyramid scheme that collapsed famously earlier this year when the price of Bitcoin tanked and the operators did not have enough cash to pay out early investors with new investors’ money.

The idea that someone has a “Bitcoin generator” is ludicrous, because the entire premise of the project is to prevent counterfeiting and ensure security. A real Bitcoin generator (a mining rig) costs a few thousand dollars now and is def not for the casual home user.
