Problem with Picard is that the first season was a slow burn leading to an underwhelming conclusion, which was followed by a second season where Sir Patrick uses Trek to tell us about how shit his childhood was and how he became a better man moving past the painful memories (aside from being a grumpy bastard for most of his adult life).

I suppose I will catch up with it at some point our of sheer boredom. I was only into it to see more of Jeri Ryan, but her part was too small.
