I don’t believe for a moment that we got bin Laden at Tora Bora.
There were entirely too many Afghan factions present who were at least in partial collusion with the Taliban and al- Qaeda, any of which could have spirited him away while feeding us misinformation.
Actual US forces were just minimally present at the time of the fighting due to logistical reasons.

Whether bin Laden has since perished is another story.
