I don’t find the fact that China has overtaken the US in CO2 production in recent years to be news - we’ve been seeing it coming for well over a decade as Chine has been building cola plant after coal plant to feed its growing hunger for electricity. Someone making a claim that the US is the “worst sinner” in total production would be incorrect. However, per capita, the US CO2 production exceeds China by a factor of several.
