60 Minutes Limps to the Finish

Looks like 60 Minutes is going to go with the already-beaten-to-death “no body armor” story tonight, unless they have a surprise late hit stored up.

I’ve been barraged with email promising all kinds of revelations about John Kerry for the past two days, but I’m playing my cards close to my vest on this one. Some of those leads have already turned out to be doubtful at best, and I don’t want to jump on some last minute bandwagon that’s headed over a cliff.

The most interesting lead, forwarded by several people, is that the Washington Times will break a story that has been simmering under the surface for the past week or so—that John Kerry received a less than honorable discharge from the Navy, later amended to honorable as part of Jimmy Carter’s amnesty initiative. At this point however, unless real proof is offered, it’s nothing more than a rumor and should be treated as such.
