NJ Star-Ledger Paleocon Potshots
New Jersey Star-Ledger columnist/moonbat Paul Mulshine takes a few potshots at LGF readers, from the isolationist paleocon perspective for a change: Little Green Goofballs.
“Little Green Goofballs!” Good one. Never heard that before. What does it say when both the far left and the far right come up with the same lame insults?
I was talking on the phone with my fellow blogger, Fausta Wertz of the Bad Hair Blog, when the subject turned to the appalling ignorance of the great mass of bloggers who call themselves conservatives.
Just for the fun of it, I went over to Little Green Footballs to see if the normal level of neocon nuttiness was being upheld. Sure enough, the first post I encountered was a video of an Islamic fundamentalist imam in Iraq preaching on the value of imposing Islamic law and defending child marriage.
All of us intelligent conservatives of the old school - a group that seems to include me, Pat Buchanan and not many others - would have the same reaction to this sort of thing: What was that dimwit George Bush thinking when he decided to create a democracy in Iraq? The inevitable result was the rise of Islamic fundamentalists. And now here’s the Little Green Footballs crowd lamenting the fact that the Islamists are doing what one would expect them to do in a democracy.
