Instead of posting any of the dozens of hate mails I’ve received in the past three days, here’s a look at the calm, reasoned discourse in which my critics engage; these quotes come from emails regarding my posts about creationism, Glenn Beck, and G. W. Bush bowing to accept a medal from Saudi King Abdullah:

“Christian-hater.”
“Sad little man.”
“Fool.”
“Are you OK?”
“Horribly dishonest.”
“Underhanded.”
“Sheeple.”
“Obama lover.”
“The snake pit of your dedicated disciples.”
“Juvenile and dumb.”
“Your lemming minions.”
“A small, spoiled child.”
“Little totalitarian wannabe dictators like yourself.”
“Retarded.”
“Horseshit.”
“You run your site like Kim Jong Il.”

My personal favorite:

“Evolution? Lies! Lies! Is that what you support?”

About half of these admirers address me as “Chuck,” or “Chuckie,” which I’m apparently supposed to take as a horrendous insult for some reason. I gotta admit, it makes me laugh when I get a hate mail addressed to “Chuckie.” Don’t ever change, haters!
