Yes...that is reasonable...we're shopping for houses right now...our mortgage range is between 3600 and 4500...hoping not to go above that. But such is life in this part of California.

I like avocado on toast with a little fleur de sel and lemon juice. (My wife introduced me to that one, and I'll just take an avocado, some bread for the toaster, and a small bag of good salt with me to work for lunch sometimes)

I don't know yet...I should have an answer in a couple of months or when we find a place...there's nothing under 600K in our area that we'd want to live in...actually, where we live now, there's nothing under 900K...but in the areas we're looking, 600-700 gets you between 1400 and 1800 square feet and a bit of yard.

Such is life on the left coast, prices for a house here in L.A. Range from $250,000 on the low end (unless you want to live in nasty gang infested areas) and all the way up to the stratosphere. Thats why we've been in an apartment for so dang long! Even a Condo can run from the mid $200,000's on up no including the H.O.A. fees, which I refuse to pay!

I thought Md was high, my home is 450K, but it's 2400 square feet. I bought it for 90K back in the 80's.
