So everybody just STFU for a while and enjoy the vid.

Doctor doesn’t want to treat Obama voters
A doctor in Florida has posted a sign outside his office telling people if they voted for President Barack Obama they should find another doctor.
The type-written sign on Dr. Jack Cassell’s office door in Mount Dora states: “If you voted for Obama … seek urologic care elsewhere. Changes to your healthcare begin right now, not in four years.”
Cassell told the Orlando (Fla.) Sentinel he’s “not turning anybody away — that would be unethical.”
“But if they read the sign and turn the other way, so be it,” he said.

Yeah, some big names associated with those things.
Some folks would do better to keep their monthly annuity payment; they get the payout (which of course is much less than what it would be if they continued to take the full annuity), and then blow it and have nothing.
I knew someone who did just that. The guy was the ex of a friend of mine, and he was low-life scum and I didn’t care what happened to him.
The problem was that he was paying child support from that monthly annuity. And when he got the lump-sum, he blew it. NO more child support, no income - just an awful situation all the way around.

No.
I went to the same doctor at the same clinic for 30 years. He retired; the business office sent me a letter saying I could call and choose any of the other doctors.
So I did. And got referred to his nurse. Who called me back (I assume after some research of my file), and said, without even a good afternoon, how are you - Dr. X says he will not take you as a new patient.
Period.
Note that she did not say he was not accepting any new patients. He said he would not take ME as a new patient.
Never mind what the clinic business office told me.

Actually, the Physician’s Oath (which is a more modern version of the Hyppocratic Oath) does specifically mention politics:
At the time of being admitted as a member of the medical profession:
* I solemnly pledge myself to consecrate my life to the service of humanity;
* I will give to my teachers the respect and gratitude which is their due;
* I will practise my profession with conscience and dignity; the health of my patient will be my first consideration;
* I will maintain by all the means in my power, the honour and the noble traditions of the medical profession; my colleagues will be my brothers;
* I will not permit considerations of religion, nationality, race, party politics or social standing to intervene between my duty and my patient;
* I will maintain the utmost respect for human life from the time of conception, even under threat, I will not use my medical knowledge contrary to the laws of humanity;
* I make these promises solemnly, freely and upon my honour.

Dad saw a lot of that …from a couple miles out to sea…
The aftermath still haunt him I’m sure!
the Army there had thousands of Philippino guerrillas fighting the Japanese…that alone had a major impact, but still it was a long, terrible fight including Manilla….nobody remembers that stuff anymore….Manilla was utterly destroyed

were both Bikini and K used for testing a-bombs?
Bikini and Eniweitok are north of Kwaj, still in the Marshall Islands. Kwaj was support.

Those books and photos must be priceless to you. My father did not want to say much about the war either, and he was in China, where there was far less danger or violence.
