Somehow I missed this one when it came out a few days ago, but if you fancy this cow, make it now.

Looks like the sweatshop fire that killed 112 people in Bangladesh was a WalMart factory - big surprise. I looked up the company when it happened and saw that WalMart was one of their clients.

That is why they couldn't afford an exterior fire exit. The cost of it might have driven up the price on a gross case of bathrobes by a whole penny. Then they'd be priced too high in the competition for Walmart's merchandise buyers.

Biden: "Did you see Boehner's face when I told him we wanted a $250.00 cap on deductions for religious donations, a 15% across the board cut in military spending, and a 25% increase in funding for womens health services? I thought the man was going to have a heart attack right there."
Obama: "I wish you would be a little more serious about these negotiations Joe, you know Republicans usually don't get it when your joking."
Biden: "Sorry Mr. President I guess I got a little carried away, it wont happen again."
Obama: "That's OK Joe, your right, it was worth it just to see him turn gray like that, especially on a man who is usually orange."

I just stumbled across this story thanks to Gus.
This is why I am so angry at the South. I'm hoping increased immigration will fragment and break apart Southern Culture.

I see that Walmart is concerned troubled:
Bangladesh factory fire 'troubles' Walmart
US retailer Walmart says it is troubled that a supplier subcontracted work without authorisation to a factory hit by a lethal fire in Bangladesh.
Walmart said it was cutting ties with the supplier.
The fire at the Tazreen Fashions plant outside the capital, Dhaka, killed more than 100 people last weekend.
[...]
Fatal fires are common in Bangladesh's large garment manufacturing sector.Lax safety standards, poor wiring and overcrowding are blamed for causing several deadly factory fires every year.
"This disastrous fire incident was a result of continuing neglect of workers' safety and their welfare," Amirul Haque Amin, the president of Bangladesh's National Garment Workers Federation, was quoted as saying by Reuters news agency.
"Whenever a fire or accident occurs, the government sets up an investigation and the authorities - including factory owners - pay out some money and hold out assurances to improve safety standards and working conditions. But they never do it."

Also, I take heavy offense to anger against women.
Put me in a room with this guy, along with a Mughal Mace.

Again, this is why I am so antipathetic to the South.
And my previous post just now is a vent of anger, that I think is justified.

I'm sure he'd be out on bail already if he was a young black man. Especially in Alabama. //

re: #18 Gus
We need a new immigration strategy in the US.
Namely, we should be giving tax incentives for Immigrants to move to the South in order disrupt its culture, and marginalize these people.
In fact, we should offer as part of a legalization package for those who are undocumented immigrants into the nation that they will have back taxes they will pay cut by half if they move to the South.
