David Daleiden prays for the destruction of women’s reproductive rights

As we noted last night, far right video fraudster David Daleiden’s home in Orange County was raided yesterday by agents from the California Department of Justice, and his computers and hard drives were seized.

Daleiden’s deceptively edited videos, shot illegally at Planned Parenthood and National Abortion Federation meetings, have led to a huge outbreak of violence and threats against clinics and women’s health services across the country, and directly inspired several murders at a Planned Parenthood clinic in Colorado Springs last November.

More than a dozen states have now held investigations into Planned Parenthood’s tissue donation programs as a result of Daleiden’s campaign of deception, and in every case the organization has been completely exonerated of wrongdoing.

This may be one of the biggest, most far-reaching frauds ever perpetrated by the so-called “pro-life” movement — and it’s a long list.

But despite the fact that there is absolutely no evidence Planned Parenthood has done anything wrong (while Daleiden unquestionably committed crimes in the creation of his “sting” videos, including falsification of California driver’s licenses), Daleiden continues ranting about a nonexistent “criminal trade in aborted baby parts” on his Facebook page, and accuses California Attorney General Kamala Harris of being “bought and paid for” by Planned Parenthood.

Daleiden isn’t the only one ranting like this today; the entire right wing media machine, news sites and bloggers are all screaming their heads off about “baby parts” and First Amendment violations. It’s an absolutely classic example of the right’s highly organized group-think and disconnection from reality.
