Trump’s Wacky Doctor Says He Wrote Health Letter in 5 Minutes
The doctor who supposedly wrote that ridiculously over-the-top assessment of Donald Trump’s “astonishingly excellent” health has spoken to NBC News, and it doesn’t get any weirder than this, folks: Trump Doctor Wrote Health Letter in Just 5 Minutes as Limo Waited.
(Notice the diplomas on his office wall — they’re all crooked. The perfect touch to complete the scene.)
Dr. Harold Bornstein, who has been the GOP nominee’s doctor for 35 years, told NBC News on Friday that he stands by his glowing assessment of the 70-year-old’s physical state.
“His health is excellent, especially his mental health,” he said in an exclusive interview at his Park Avenue office.
“Especially his mental health?” Uh, OK. Dr. Bornstein is a gastroenterologist. But he apparently does a little psychiatry on the side.
In his letter, Bornstein said there were no “significant medical problems” in Trump’s history and that a recent examination “showed only positive results.”
“If elected, Mr. Trump, I can state unequivocally, will be the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency,” Bornstein wrote.
Asked how he could justify the hyperbole, Bornstein said, “I like that sentence to be quite honest with you and all the rest of them are either sick or dead.”
That’s right — his rationale for saying Trump would the healthiest individual ever elected president is that most of the other presidents are dead!
I remain highly skeptical that Bornstein actually wrote this letter himself.
This election just gets more and more whacked out.
And now… video!

In the photo above, you can see that the operating system running on Dr. Bornstein’s computer is the way-outdated Windows XP — and that may be a violation of HIPAA.
Why does it matter if Dr. Bornstein is using an outdated operating system? Well, it could be a violation of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Microsoft stopped supporting Windows XP back in 2014 and HIPAA requires doctors to make continued security updates to their systems to protect the privacy of the information they collect on their patients.
Information stored on a computer running Windows XP is potentially at risk and the security community pretty universally regards Windows XP as unsafe at this point. So… best of luck, Mr. Trump?
