Donald Trump Tries to Excuse His Disgraceful Behavior by Posting a Video Clip of Hillary — From Russian State TV

Politics • Views: 41,999

Still obsessing over Hillary Clinton, our so-called president tried to divert attention from his treasonous behavior in Helsinki by posting an unattributed video clip of his nemesis talking about the desirability of good relations with Russia.

The video clip was originally recorded two years before Vladimir Putin became the leader of Russia. So sure, it’s deceptive, as usual. But that’s not the most grotesque part of this.

Look at the logo at upper right. The clip Trump tweeted is actually from a program on Russian state television, Channel One.

For reference, here’s the same logo in another clip from Channel One’s YouTube channel.

I am glad to be an expatriate and not exposed to this on a permanent basis, or it would warp my mind irrevocably

Yes, “Prime Minister”

He’s all up in the Channel One wiki link you tweeted. Involved in ways that aren’t surprising at all.

“Berezovsky claims that in 2001 he was forced by the Putin administration to sell his shares. He first tried to sell them to a third party, but failed. A close friend of Berezovsky, Nikolai Glushkov, was arrested while seriously ill, and Berezovsky gave up the shares and transferred them to Roman Abramovich’s Sibneft with the understanding that Glushkov would then be released. This promise was not fulfilled.[11][12] Soon after Berezovsky’s withdrawal, the new ownership changed the channel’s name to Pervy Kanal (Channel One). Konstantin Ernst remains as general director. As of 2008, Channel One’s minority shares are held by three little-known companies, ORT-KB, Eberlink2002, and Rastrkom-2002. Their parent companies are domiciled in Panama and Seychelles and are managed by Evrofinans Group. The ultimate owner is still believed to be Roman Abramovich, who also controls the Video International advertising agency, the exclusive media seller of Channel One.”

Trump has absolutely no understanding of how interest rates and bond prices work. He is going to wreck the economy sooner rather than later by putting pressure on Fed leadership to ignore fundamental Economics- yet another “Elitist” pursuit that he knows NOTHING about. Here is the chart for the Euro - US Dollar exchange rate. This is driven primarily by speculation about future interest rate differences between two currencies (higher rates, more demand for the currency, higher price currency commands). See if you can spot when speculators think that the Federal Reserve is less likely to raise rates.

Like I mentioned the other day, most of those in this admin’s highest offices will not quit no matter how high the shit gets because doing so basically means the end of their careers. There’s no room in the wingnut welfare circuit for those who go against Dear Leader, and most have been associated with this man so long that even having a very public break with him for moral/ethical reasons will not wash off the stink. Their careers have become toxic byproducts of every wrong they’ve associated themselves with or quietly allowed to go by and now they’re stuck. The most they can hope for is Comrade Combover leaves office while they still have time on the clock.

Although I sort of prefer that Coats stay in his position, as opposed to have Doturd put someone else there who would be more slavish to him and Russia.

re: #70 DodgerFan1988

Our Trump loving friends and family are part of an effort to build a worldwide white Christian supremacist movement that as of now pits about 2% of the world’s population against the other 98%.

The 35%-45% of America that support Orange McDouche are about 1.5%-2% of the total world population. They naively think they can organize a worldwide white-centric Christian alliance with Russia as a reliable primary member- without any real understanding of Russia and the Russian mindset under Putin.

Russia is not interested in promoting American-style Evangelical Christianity, guns for everyone, or any sort of traditional freedoms and democracy. Putin’s Russia has made it publicly clear time and time again that their primary concern via public statements and actions is restoring Russian domination throughout their periphery and well into Europe itself. Putin also uses the utterly corrupt Russian Orthodox Church (ROC) to maintain religious order and actively persecute and heavily regulate any other religious minorities including Evangelical Churches and Pastors.

Putin is viewed as an ally by our 35% and Orange McDouche. We are in the midst of a civil war where a minority of the country is successfully using a violently hostile outside power to help their efforts to defeat the majority.. 35% and Orange McDouche are traitors.

Belafon  Jul 19, 2018 • 1:59:51pm

Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee have gotten extremely petty in their attempts to stonewall Democrats who are trying to investigate Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election. After all, those Republicans, led by committee chairman Representative Devin Nunes, ended the House Intel Russia probe in April and cleared the White House of any wrongdoing. But Democrats pledged to continue interviewing witnesses, and now the GOP is making that increasingly difficult.

Democrats tell CNN that they aren’t allowed into conference rooms to conduct interviews, they’ve been denied funds to pay for witness travel to Washington, D.C., and Nunes is even preventing them from using the House’s transcription services, which costs the committee nothing. As a result, they’ve been left to conduct interviews in the office of House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, as they did Wednesday with George Papadopoulos’s wife Simona, who had to pay her own way to D.C.

Along with these small annoyances, Republicans on the committee are making one big thing difficult: Nunes is blocking Democrats from sharing what they’ve learned in witness interviews with Special Counsel Robert Mueller. Representative Adam Schiff, the top Democrat on the committee, tells CNN that some of the witnesses interviewed by House may have lied and he wants to tell Mueller all about it, but he can’t do so without Nunes’s help.

Hayden man arrested for hate crime following fight with youth pastor

On July 12, officers responded to a large fight at a Coeur d’Alene McDonald’s. Court documents say a Hayden man was charged with battery and malicious harassment, which is considered a hate crime in Idaho, following an investigation by police.

When officers arrived on scene, the fight had broken up, but witnesses were interviewed at the scene.

The victim, Quezalcoatl Ceniceros, told police he was getting ice cream with his church youth group, when a man, later identified as Richard Sovenski, became confrontational with the young people waiting in line. Ceniceros and Sovenski began arguing inside the restaurant before they went outside to the parking lot.

According to the documents, Ceniceros told police Sovenski pushed him to the ground and punched him one time in the shoulder as he fell to the ground. He then took out his cell phone and recorded the rest of the incident on his phone.

Documents say the video shows Sovenski yelling and cursing at the group as well as calling one of them a ‘half breed’

I imagine Trump’s Russian is worse than the pretend Japanese my niece pretends to speak when she plays restaurant and welcomes me to her Japanese restaurant.

Paramedic who came to the aid of civilians in the Turku terrorist knife attack gets another medal:

The fourth recipient of a George Medal is Hassan Zubier, who came to the aid of victims of a knife attack while he was on holiday with his family in Finland.

Mr Zubier, who was born in Kent but now lives in Sweden, sustained wounds to his neck, chest and arm as he fought a knifeman who stabbed two women to death.

The paramedic, who now has to use a wheelchair because of his injuries, said he was “honoured to be recognised” but received the award “with mixed feelings, remembering that two people lost their lives”.

Hasn’t voter apathy in the younger demos been an issue with just about every generation?

It is like everyone when they get older forgetting what they did as youth.

Well, hallelujah! I just got my ballot for the Primary, and right on the front it says “New: No stamp needed to mail your ballot”.

When Oregon started with all mail-in ballots, they were Postage Paid. The Republicans sued, calling it “buying votes” and forced them to require postage. So after Washington went to mail-in, we’ve always had to add a stamp.

Not only was that an illegal Poll Tax, but it discouraged votes from a lot of people who seldom buy stamps any more (And young people never?).

I don’t know what changed, or whether to expect a lawsuit, but if there is one, and it wins, hopefully it won’t change anything before November.

The biggest one appears to have been in Marshalltown:

Looks like downtown has lots of older brick buildings. Typical of the upper Mississippi valley area, like the old Steel belt - the boom years were from the end of the 19th century thru the 1950’s.

Then stagnation, as jobs disappeared.

Charlotte’s bigger than Cleveland isn’t it? Not sure where the Dems should have theirs. It’s why we need to shut up about the Boomers. I don’t like our generation being blamed for stupid shit but our apathy is exactly why Trump might ended up prevailing in the worst possible way.

Thank you.

There was a big local kerfuffle the other day between some young and old peeps. The young ones didn’t like the positions the older ones were taking and basically said, you’d better change your tone if you want to engage millennials and get them to vote. All I could think of was what if the tables were reversed? What if all the “olds” said, you’d better change your tone or we won’t vote anymore.

Who has the most to lose by not voting? People my age, who are the most reliable voters, will not be around to have to deal with many of the consequences, so it seems that there’s a whole lot more at stake for young people. For them to say they won’t vote if they aren’t cajoled and catered to seems illogical to me.

An interesting note about the part of Slovakia I’m going to and wehre my family is from. Anyhow, though my family are Slovak nationals, they are ethnically Rusyns. Now, this is a controversial issue. Rusyns often consider themselves Rusyn and I have to agree with them. Most Slovaks are Roman Catholic and are Western Slavic peoples. Rusyns are more likely to be Greek Rite Catholics as my grandmother was before conversion to Roman Catholicism or Orthodox. Tehy are also Eastern Slavs like Ukrainians and Russians. Here’s where things get dicey. Slovakia, where my family still lives, they acknowledge the unique cultural status of the Rusyn people. The Ukrainain government unfortunately does not and sees them as fellow Ukrainians. It escapes me at the moment what Poland, another large Rusyn population center does but I think they’re like the Slovaks. Anyhow, that’s been a proxy war that the Russian and Ukrainian governments have sort of waged there too. No violence as far as I know but while I disagree with the Ukrainian government’s assessment of my cousins cultural identity, I definitely believe in standing by them against Putin harassing their nation.

Not surprised.
I’m already sick of the corny one-note jokes, but I know they will continue to fly.

A friend pointed it out to me today and says the guy has been right on point about indictments, etc. That every time he posts a FEATHERS announcement, it comes to pass. She thinks it’s a former high level person. What think you all?

“didn’t send his best”
He probably did, in fact, send his best. Her appearance would have been a carefully weighed factor in her selection for this job. She would be attractive enough to score with the marks and still look like an earnest, devoted fanatic; and not like, well, a honey pot. They would truly believe in her sincerity and open up accordingly.

About 20 miles as the crow flies. Winds are steady out of the southwest. Fire is buring in rugged remote terrain, no structures currently threatened.

Yeah, I’m familiar with it.

He’s part of the Louise Mensch crew and has some controversial social media history with folks like Malcolm Nance. I don’t mess with that crew at all, but I do think he could have been formerly high level and well connected, just like Mensch was a Conservative politician and political pundit in the UK. That whole bunch is super suspect to me.

Chekists are people from the KGB and FSB that since the fall of the USSR see themselves as the Keepers of the Flame.

They, along with a few favored Oligarchs, run the Soviet Union. These are the fabled “100 families” that pull the strings in today’s Russia, and Putin is the puppet master.
