Ask me if I’m surprised that CNN has hired “Liberal Fascism” author Jonah Goldberg as a commentator, and I’ll say, “Why, no! I am, as always, unsurprised.”
It’s in keeping with their long tradition of handing high-profile jobs to right wing propagandists.— Charles Johnson (@Green_Footballs) February 7, 2022
Jonah Goldberg was an editor at National Review for years while white supremacist John Derbyshire was writing for them. They eventually fired Derbyshire when people started noticing.

Cops weren’t as forgiving with the Occupy Wall Street types in NYC - and that was far less disruptive than these folks taking over huge chunk of Ottawa. They hassled OWS types for weeks in a public park that was about an acre in size, and they weren’t trying half the crap these bunch are doing.

We know whose side most cops are on.
And it isn’t ours.

The other day, Governor Mike Parson declared a pre-emptive state of emergency for a snowstorm that had not even occurred yet. Many area schools closed down over this alleged “emergency.”I will not live in fear of some “snowstorm” which I have taken to calling the “Snowverreaction.” Even though it is far milder than storms we have had in the past, it is being used by government and cultural elites to limit our freedom, plain and simple.
Let’s get some facts straight:
Did you know over 99 percent of those who venture out into blizzards survive? They don’t want you to know it, but it’s true. Maybe we should worry about heart disease before we go cancelling school to protect against “weather.”

NYC and Ottawa are different places. Doubt that Ottawa had stop and frisk for decades.

Everyone is tired of covid.
We’d be done with covid if everyone fucking masked and vaccinated, but no. The right wing lunatics bought into the know nothing randos online who pushed agitprop, fake cures/treatments, and claimed masking violated their freedom.
No one wants to mask. But we’re doing it to protect ourselves and our families and our communities - and it’s far more effective than toting around machine guns on your back as if the bogeyman is going to pop out from behind the latte counter at Starbucks (and John Wick would still nail every last one of these dumbasses before they know what hits them - with a pencil).

It’s become clear that in most cases “Conservatism” is just a mask that fascists wear in an attempt to be socially acceptable. That mask has been dropped in recent years.

Judge Hidalgo calls budget proposals from Commissioners Cagle & Ramsey “dystopian.” Would cut public health department by half during a pandemic. Cut public libraries by 25% & layoff 1,140 Harris County employees next month. Not to mention eliminating the elections dept entirely.

Tired of Covid? One of my vaccinated and boosted friends came back from a trip to Hawaii a couple of months ago with Covid and thanks to weight issues he and his partner both had a pretty miserable week of flu like symptoms. He just posted on FB that he tested positive…again. (Symptom free for now).
Granted, he went to an indoor concert last week…so not a huge surprise he got it again.

It’s nice that they feel like they need to wear masks to hide their identity, unlike so many fascists in recent years. That’s the only nice thing about this, and they probably wore the masks because they live in the gated community with the people they’re attacking.
