Okay, got my Dead & Co Sphere & Loathing tickets for Friday night into my google wallet…I’m in IT and I found the whole process of Sphere account manager and Ticketmaster (which didn’t have my tickets) confusing as fuck-all. Even my pulse is elevated now. But I got both tickets, and then double and triple checked that they’re in fact, there on my phone.

Of course it will. Vocal Trump supporters include many who despised him and vocally vilified him until they didn’t. What won’t help her achieve her desire for the presidency is that she is a woman of color and Indian heritage in a racist anti-immigrant misogynistic party.

Political consultant indicted for deep-faked Biden ad telling people not to vote

The Democratic consultant behind a controversial New Hampshire ad that used the “deep-faked” voice of President Joe Biden telling people not to show up to vote in the primary has been indicted on state charges.

According to NBC News, the consultant, Steve Kramer, “faces five counts, including bribery, intimidation and suppression, according to Manchester TV station WMUR, which first reported the indictment. It is unclear how he is pleading to the charges.”

“The robocall, which was first reported by NBC News and went out to thousands of New Hampshire voters in January, just ahead of the state’s first-in-the-nation presidential primary, used artificial intelligence technology to deepfake the president, telling voters to stay home and ‘save’ their votes for the November general election,” reported Alex Seitz-Wald. “The call was the first known example of a deepfake used in national American politics. It prompted outcry from officials and watch dogs, propelling the Federal Communications Commission to put forward a new rule banning unsolicited AI robocalls.”

Prior to Kramer’s indictment, New Hampshire also indicted two out-of-state telecommunications companies that helped transmit the robocall. Kramer’s identity became known when a street magician he hired to help craft the ad came forward.

“Paul Carpenter, who holds a world record in straitjacket escapes but no fixed address, said he was hired by Kramer to create the audio of Biden’s voice used in the call, providing screen shots of text messages and Venmo transactions to corroborate his account,” noted the report. “Confronted with the evidence, Kramer admitted that he commissioned the call, but he insisted he only did it to prompt stricter regulations of AI deep fakes.”

He instigated an AIDS epidemic in Indiana, and was about to get voted out of Indiana’s governor’s mansion - one of the most Republican states north of the Mason-Dixon Line - before Trump came along and saved him with the offer of the vice presidency.

More impressions of the new M4 iPad Pro

Ok after giving the new M4 a test drive yesterday and today some more impressions include:

The older Magic Keyboard isn’t compatible with the M4
Same goes for the older iPad pencil models. They aren’t compatible with the M4 and they don’t charge or connect.
It runs cooler than my older M1.
It calculates far deeper playing chess. Several time playing games against SmallFish the M4 has calculated 70 moves deep.
The display is sharper and color saturation deeper.
The sound is improved.
Game graphics are improved.
Connects to network quicker and downloads & installs updates at least 2X as fast as the M1.

Donald Trump explained his rationale for not taking the stand in his hush money trial despite saying for months he would be willing to do so, The Hill reports.

Said Trump: “Because he made rulings that makes it very difficult to testify. Anything I did, anything I did in the past they can bring everything up. And you know what, I’ve had a great past.”

He added: “The other reason is because they have no case. In other words, why testify when they have no case… There’s no crime … so when you say, ‘Why not testify,’ they have no case, other than it’s a corrupt system.”

Yeah, no, Chuck. I mean, can someone invite the Hamas leader afterwards?

The court only has authority to rule as the ultimate arbiter because they ruled that way in Marbury v Madison.

Although he was a racist slaving asshat, the founder of the Democratic Party Andrew Jackson did have one thing right: “John Marshall has made his decision; now let him enforce it.”

Marbury only has the force-of-law as long as people respect the decisions of the Supreme Court. Piss off enough people with open corruption, they will start ignoring the court when it suits them.

That opens a whole ‘nother can of worms, but that may be the only direct action people can take to get this fixed.

What happens if the Supreme Court rules mifespristone is illegal to use and free states simply tell the court “no” backed by pharmaceutical companies which want to sell the drug and people who want to use it?

When will anyone finally bring Stewpid Peters “to book”?

Is this where Stewpid Peters FINALLY crosses the line?

Stew Peters, described by the Anti-Defamation League as an antisemitic conspiracy theorist and a white supremacist, can be seen in a newly surfaced video demanding his followers storm classrooms and libraries for books they will burn in a “Nuremberg” themed event next fall.

“If we demand the classroom bookcases and school library shelves be cleansed of filth and perversion…then we’re called a bunch of book burners,” Peters says. “Well guess what, that’s exactly what we are and that’s exactly what we’re going to do.”

A video montage clips of Mel Gibson portraying a militia leader in the 2000 film “The Patriot” as Peters calls on “real men” to go into public schools and destroy books.

Images of books Peters condemns include “All Boys Aren’t Blue,” a series of personal essays from LGBTQIA+ activist George M. Johnson about his youth.

Peters claims his planned action will remove the books “from the face of the planet for all eternity.”

He promised an army of millions will spend the summer seizing books and then, in October, gather in Atlantic City in New Jersey to “kill it with fire.”

The group Right Wing Watch reports an event space at Ceasars, the hotel and casino complex, is listed as the venue for Peter’s “Extreme Accountability event.”

“It’s hard to imagine that @CaesarsAC knew what it was getting into by allowing someone as unhinged as Stew Peters to plan an event and possible book-burning on the property,” the group wrote on X.
