Falling In Reverse: “Ronald” (feat. Tech N9ne & Alex Terrible)

Music • Views: 12,432

This wild video starts out loud and just keeps getting louder … and I’m not just talking about audio volume.

Once upon a time, everything was alright
I used to feel safe, not a worry in sight
Then I grew up, quickly realized The world is a fucked up place sometimes
Death is at your door Reaching in from the other side
It’s time to cut the cord

Hangin’ on like a parasite (Go!)

Don’t hesitate, you’re hangin’ on for your life
Don’t hesitate, you’re reachin’ out for the light
Walking on a razor’s edge
My blood runs black,
I’m not your friend

Pull from the depths of the thirty -six chambers (Ah!)
pull the trigger
Give a bullet to a stranger
Pull from the depths of the thirty -six chambers
pull the trigger
Give a bullet to a stranger
I don’t wanna die
But I’m not gonna live
In a place so cold in a world like this
Crucify me
It’s blasphemy
Throw me in the fire
Let me burn for eternity
Burn for eternity
Burn for eternity
I will never be the one
That’ll ever back down
Never turn around and run Never, never, never back down

Deep into the trench of a place unknown
Lies a dead man clutched to the bottom of a throne
At the bottom of a hole that nobody wants to go
It’s the devil that you know that’s gotta hold up on your wicked soul
When there summin’ your mind
and you’re thinkin’ the devil is makin’ the crime
And the people are evil
and never no demon designer
The opposite of a divine? No!
Yes!
The hell is in front of you, side and behind?
I can feel every sign of a human decline
I’m believin’ the time is upon us when all of our people are blind!
Yo!
Red rain, saw it fallin’ from a tower’s dead plane
Head bang, Mandalay Bay Hotel on a lead cane
Sex change could get you caught up in death’s reign
She played sane but really imitating Ed Gein
How did we get this way? Negative shit to say when we get this way
Havin’ a fit today
So they wanna make a bitch decay
My son’s mom went gone I was really wrong
I thought I was gone
I vomit so shame for my son
But I didn’t go John Muhammad
So the devil’s right here
On this level wide tier
That’s cuz when rebels ready to pop the heavy metal I fear
Abomination, babin’ Fakin’
Consecration Hatin’ Wastin’ education
Got the killer, wanna kill ‘em gotta chase em’
Go!
Go!

Spiraling out of control
And deeper down the rabbit hole

‘Bizarrely embarrassing and infantile’: Right wing outlet slammed for selling ‘Alito flags’

A right-wing website is selling flags to honor Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito, after he appears to have made several false statements, including in a letter to Congress, about why flags associated with the January 6 insurrection and the “Stop the Steal” conspiracy movement were flying at his homes.

The Bush-43 appointed jurist has been accused of either being mistaken or “lying” about events, by a former neighbor.

Now, the right wing website National Review is selling flags honoring the Supreme Court justice and invoking the two insurrectionist symbols. They are $197 each.

“National Review is delighted to announce new ‘Alito flags’ based on honored colonial-era American flags and fashioned to show support for the Supreme Court justice,” the website published in an article.

And while NR publisher Rich Lowry, a frequent guest on NBC News’ “Meet the Press,” claims the “beautiful flags … hearken back to some of the most stirring symbols of the American Revolution,” the advertorial ignores almost entirely the actual controversy surrounding the two flags that flew at the Alitos’ homes.

Wow. I’ve been speculating for a while that Biden had been working to break OPEC, destroy the oil cartels and then making it easier to go green. The fact that the US not only produces more petroleum than any OPEC contry but more than any OPEC country can produce was an eye opener. Break OPEC and green energy becomes easier.

Good interview with Eric Kripke, “The Boys” showrunner. He confirms that yes, it is all about the rise of Trump.

When he got elected, we had a metaphor that said more about the current world. Suddenly, we were telling a story about the intersection of celebrity and authoritarianism and how social media and entertainment are used to sell fascism. We’re right in the eye of the storm. And once we realized that, I just felt an obligation to run in that direction as far as we could.

Other such criminals have visited countries where they were wanted for prosecution. As heads of state, they had diplomatic immunity.

And what have we here?

Why Comer Pyle didn’t just use one private e-mail alias to conduct government business…he used TWO of them!

Comer has for months trafficked in innuendo that Biden’s use of email pseudonyms indicates an attempt to evade public records disclosure and hide wrongdoing—particularly regarding a failed business deal his son, Hunter Biden, negotiated with a Chinese company after his father left the vice presidency in 2017 and before his White House run in 2020.

But emails show that when Comer was a senior Kentucky state official, he used pseudonyms for government business—including an industrial hemp pilot program involving Chinese seeds which later tested as illegal marijuana, The Daily Beast revealed this week.

For instance, in a January 2014 message sent from one of two accounts named for Comer’s son, Harlan Comer, Comer told a KDA aide, “I’ll touch base with you today about Hemp. Some things have happened over night [sic] with respect to hemp so we may be growing it this year.”

That email came in response to an inquiry about Kentucky hemp regulations, including Chinese imports. Harlan Comer was then around seven years old. His father signed the email, “James Comer.”

The next month, Comer used an alias to revise a presentation with a hemp program partner.

“Ok. I’ll fix it to just study production aspects and then resend to you to approve,” Comer wrote. Signed “Jamie,” the email was “Sent from my iPhone.”

That program partner—a Comer campaign donor who considered the commissioner a “good friend”—sent numerous emails to Comer pseudonyms, some addressing “Jamie.”

The Daily Beast uncovered the pseudonyms—harlan2@ky.gov and harlan.comer@ky.gov—while reviewing documents the Kentucky government produced in response to an open records request from a third party. The request only targeted material connected to the hemp initiative. The full scope of Comer’s use of alternate emails remains unclear.

But the pseudonyms appeared on dozens of emails, many discussing Chinese imports, sometimes alongside Comer’s official “james.comer” address. KDA officials were aware of the aliases, records show, as was the hemp program’s outside counsel—a Comer associate who addressed “Jamie” at one of the Harlan accounts.

Comer’s spokesperson did not answer why alias emails bore Comer’s signature.

“As the Commissioner of Agriculture, Congressman Comer’s email accounts were solely monitored and maintained by staff,” the spokesperson said. “All communications are publicly available through the Kentucky Open Records Act.”

(The KDA rejected the third party’s request for private emails, claiming it lacked “the requisite knowledge of what, if any, private email addresses may have been used by Mr. Comer.”)

The spokesperson did not answer when asked who managed Comer’s emails; how communications were relayed; or if emails were forwarded to a nongovernmental account. The KDA did not reply to a comment request.

While the claim that Comer did not use email seems implausible—and contradicted by the signatures—it may contain a grain of truth. Of hundreds of emails involving the official “james.comer” account, only one was sent from that address: a forwarded email with no additional content.

Amye Bensenhaver, a former assistant attorney general with the state of Kentucky and an open records specialist, told The Daily Beast it is “inconceivable” to her that Comer did not use email. While alias accounts are consistent with state law, she said, that analysis depends on intent.

“It’s fairly common practice to have an account to ensure vital official records are saved separately,” Bensenhaver said. “But if the purpose is concealing it, it is wrong, it is illegal.”

Bensenhaver called Comer’s denial a “stupid thing to say, especially with proof that he did use the email,” adding that it gives the impression of “subterfuge to avoid accountability.”

SAY IT AIN’T SO!

Rudy’s Coffee Roastery Also Just Went Bankrupt

Rudy Giuliani needs a little coffee money—and so does the Miami-based roastery that’s scooping out the once-beloved mayor’s new line of signature java blends.

A very caffeinated-sounding Giuliani provoked online mockery on May 19 when he appeared on a computer-generated background to hawk Rudy Coffee, the latest in a steady drip-drip of odd products the suspended ex-Trump lawyer has promoted as his brewing legal and financial woes threaten to boil over. But it turns out that the famously unfiltered Republican isn’t the only party in the new venture going through bankruptcy proceedings and hoping to get back into the black.

It wasn’t long after Giuliani dropped the strange promo on Twitter, inviting viewers to visit the new coffee line’s website, that The Daily Beast research team sprang into action and identified Rudy Coffee as a partnership with Burke Brands and its Don Pablo coffee.

And the news soon percolated into the courtroom, as five days following the video posting, attorneys for the mayor’s creditors subpoenaed Burke Brands and demanded they spill the beans about the deal. Four days after that, the same lawyers filed a ream of documents that included the inked agreement between the ex-mayor and the roastery, which explicitly stated “Giuliani will be entitled to 80% of net profit of each sale of Rudy Coffee.” The money will pour into a Missouri-based bank account for Giuliani Communications LLC, according to the accord.

Further, the April 23 contract estimates that every 32-ounce bag of coffee will mean $5.039 in green, while a four-pound bag will grind out $10.285 in profit, and the biggest 76 ounce sack will net $14.284.

Meanwhile, The Daily Beast found that two days before Giuliani posted his surreal jamocha spiel, Burke Brands entered a new filing in its own bankruptcy case. The coffee maker first filed for Chapter 11 in December 2022, almost one year to the day before Giuliani, claiming between one and $10 million in assets and the same range in outstanding liabilities.

The court approved a plan in December of last year that would see it pay one group of creditors $100,000 both this year and next, and then $200,000 in 2026, thus resolving the debt. But on May 17, Burke Brands requested to change this arrangement, paying on a month-by-month basis until January 2025, and pledging to fully discharge the debt in January 2026. The firm’s attorney gave no reason for this requested change, but the judge set a hearing for June 20.

An attorney for Burke Brands maintained that the rough alignment between his motion to modify the debt discharge plan and the Rudy Coffee launch—and both his client and its new partner being in Chapter 11 bankruptcy—was “completely coincidental.”

SURE IT WAS!!!!! 😏

The Courtroom is Kryptonite for Trump
What the Manhattan jury can teach us about countering political polarization.

… In light of these dynamics, it’s not surprising that Trump detests courtroom dynamics, because they neutralize his Svengali-like, divisive effect on people. But just because the trial is over doesn’t mean that we can’t translate the psychology lessons from the court of law into the court of public opinion as we approach the November election. …

Chris Hayes is recounting the shabby history of Abe Fortas, the SCOTUS justice who resigned in disgrace after it was revealed that he took ,000 from a rich dude in legal trouble. It’s quaint by today’s blatantly corrupt SCOTUS standards.

Of course, he was a liberal, so uh, yeah.

Why can’t Captain Underpants just shut up?

Social media erupted Friday after celebrity lawyer Alan Dershowitz called former President Donald Trump’s conviction in his hush money case the “worst legal verdict” he’s seen in 60 years.

Really Captain Underpants? Are you that far gone?

My wife and I will stop at Costco on the way up to the groove pit (to load up on necessities like tequila, toilet paper, tequila, etc.) and we’ll share one of those long ass buck fifty hot dogs….but I can still eat a whole slice of their cheese pizza by myself with enough red chili flake. Well, Anders’ crash investigation is just starting, but Denver’s crash happened, in part, because he didn’t top up the fuel tanks on the Rutan Long-EZ he had just bought and taken delivery of from the builder/previous owner, who had mounted the fuel tank selector valve in a non-standard position/orientation behind the pilot’s left shoulder (Burt Rutan’s design specified the valve to be between the pilot’s legs) that was extremely difficult for Denver to reach and actuate in flight, even with a pair of Vise-Grips clamped on to give leverage. On his second familiarization flight, Denver tried to switch tanks in-flight, apparently hitting the controls in the process of reaching back to actuate the valve, losing and being unable to regain control.

Someone please tell the New York Times that there really is a Republicans in Disarray problem!

theguardian.com

Colorado state representative Dave Williams (R), who is also chairman of the Colorado Republican Party, is facing severe blowback over an email he sent earlier this month entitled “God Hates Pride” in which he repeatedly attacked the LGBTQ community. But this time, the blowback is coming from his fellow Republicans.

The Guardian reported that multiple prominent Republicans in the Centennial State are calling for Williams to step down from his post, citing his divisive rhetoric that they view as undermining GOP candidates’ efforts to win over voters. Valdamar Archuleta, a gay Republican who recently renounced the Colorado GOP’s endorsement of his campaign for Colorado’s 1st Congressional District in the wake of Williams’ email, gave Williams a direct ultimatum in a post to social media.

“He doesn’t have the talent to make a convincing argument and win over minds. He also does not understand teamwork. He should not be in politics, he should not be in party leadership, and he definitely should not represent CD5 in Congress,” Archuleta tweeted of Williams, who is seeking the GOP nomination in a congressional district just south of the Denver area. “Building an effective winning team takes skills and talents not everyone has. Dave Williams should resign… or be removed.”

Archuleta isn’t the only Republican calling for Williams’ departure from his position. Rep. Richard Holtorf (R) said “hell yeah” when the Guardian asked if he thought Williams should resign. He also hinted at a petition being circulated by Colorado Republicans aimed at enlisting support for the state GOP chair’s resignation or removal.

“He’s incompetent and he should step down,” Holtorf said. “He’s done so many destructive things in Colorado to not promote unity and [done] things that are outside the boundary and the scope of his role and responsibility as the state party chair.”

Colorado House Republican Caucus chair Mary Bradfield also echoed those sentiments. She told the Guardian in an emailed statement that “these statements made by chairman Dave Williams are inappropriate,” and that “he should step down.”

Despite the mounting calls for his resignation from within his own party, Williams has so far suggested he plans to stay in his role. He told USA Today earlier this week that members of Colorado Republican Party’s leadership “make no apologies” for their public statements.

“We make no apologies for saying God hates pride or pride flags as it’s an agenda that harms children and undermines parental authority, and the only backlash we see is coming from radical Democrats, the fake news media, and weak Republicans who bow down at the feet of leftist cancel culture,” Williams said.

In the email that initially sparked the controversy, Williams wrote that with the arrival of the month of June (which the LGBTQ+ community celebrates as “Pride month”), “the godless groomers in our society want to attack what is decent, holy, and righteous so they can ultimately harm our children.” A separate tweet from the Colorado GOP’s official X/Twitter account showed a gif of a fire with the text “burn all the #Pride flags.”

I expect a GOP congress to try and “save” Social Security by rolling back the COLA. As with FERS retirees, which get adjustments that are one full point less than the AGI, I think the GOP will try to make the SS COLA also = AGI - 1. Also try to switch the (few) remaining CSRS retirees to AGI - 1.

GOP Congresses in the past have tried to undermine the civil service and retirement programs.

That’s why FERS retirees don’t get the full COLA, compared to SS and CSRS.

The GOP enslaved women in the deep red states, attempted a coup, and chose a candidate who is clearly unhinged, and only getting worse. They’re all lying about everything, and those lies are pretty thin.

They’re not going to be in a position to hurt anyone outside the deep red states, and the feds will continue to put some limits on that. Possibly steep limits if the election goes well enough.

Uh oh! Newsmax got some ‘splanin to do!

Pro-Trump network Newsmax faces subpoena for documents as bankruptcy lawyers deepen probe of Rudy Giuliani’s finances

Lawyers for the creditors of Rudy Giuliani said Thursday that they plan to subpoena conservative, pro-Trump network Newsmax for documents to shed light on the scope of its financial relationship between the former NYC mayor, his companies, and legal defense funds as his bankruptcy case trudges on.

The notice of intent from the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors, largely identical in form and function to other subpoenas issued in the case thus far, seeks to uncover how much money Giuliani “derived from” his shows or “any other media appearances […] on Newsmax.”

The filing additionally revealed that the attorneys are pursuing “all documents and communications” on “any actual, contemplated or proposed contracts or agreements, whether oral or written, formal or informal” between Newsmax and Giuliani, his companies, or his legal defense funds — “concerning the production or distribution of Uncovering the Truth or The Rudy Giuliani Show, business dealings, advertisements, endorsements or any other sources of income, revenue or other compensation for the Debtor, any Debtor Related Person or any Debtor Related Entity.”

Thereafter, the filing seemed to suggest that creditors’ lawyers are aware of recent allegations made by voting machine company Smartmatic that Newsmax CEO Christopher Ruddy “destroyed the text messages and emails of key executives responsible for its defamatory campaign” after the 2020 election, a claim Newsmax has categorically denied.

The subpoena said that if any “responsive” Newsmax documents have been “destroyed,” the media company needs to say why and identify who was ultimately responsible.

“If any Document responsive to these Requests has been destroyed, lost or discarded, state when the Document was destroyed, lost or discarded; identify the Person who destroyed, lost or discarded the Document; and, in the event the Document was destroyed or discarded, identify the Person who directed that it be destroyed or discarded,” the filing continued. “Additionally, detail the reasons for the destruction, loss or discarding; describe the nature of the Document; identify the Persons who created, sent, received or reviewed the Document; and state in as much detail as possible the contents of the Document.”

Did I read that incorrectly, or are you calling John McWhorter a racist?

Back from the library.

Yes. When you call the Black Lives Matter movement “identity politics” and equate that to a religion and equate that to racists being fired from jobs, I think I can make a case that’s a case for racism.

He has stated he disagrees “sustainedly” with many of the “tenets” (religious holdings) of the Civil Rights Movement.

Political theorists place him as a so-called radical centrist.

Back in 2001, he wrote an article claiming it was the “attitudes of Black people” rather than the racism of whites which hold Black people back. In 2005 on NPR, he used the word “thug” in an interview as coded language for ni*CLANG. He calls all responses by the Black community “separatism” and anti-intellectualism, and time for well-intentioned whites to stop pardoning the worst of human behaviour when Black people exhibit it. He rejected critical race theory in a New York Times op-ed, saying some other agenda was afoot.

He posits anti-racism is equally as damaging as racism, and argues anti-racists “openly infantilise” Black people.

Yeah, he’s a racist.

THREE WEEKS FROM TODAY!!!!!

I go to the office for the last time and turn in my teleworking gear and that ends 41 years 11 months and 2 days at their Los Angeles Teleservice Center…and I now have to wait for the civil service pension to start interim payments in 8 weeks.

Glad I have the rainy day fund…

Usually the check for your unused A/L will come to you sooner. I got that check in about 3 weeks. The CSRS retirement checks started in about a month later.

For me, retirement direct deposits are due on the first of the month. Prior to Diaper Don they were deposited every first of the month, weekends, week days, or holidays. Diaper Don had them delayed to the first workday after the first of the month. With Joe in charge, the deposits arrive 1 or 2 days early when the first is on a weekend or holiday. When the R’s threatened to shut down the govt, Joe had the deposits sent 3-4 days early so Govt retirees had some funds before any potential shutdown.

My “dad passed in an aircraft incident in the San Juan Islands,” Anders told CNN Friday evening.

As I said earlier, nonsense. It’s easy to take him out of context, and his ideas won’t fit into a tweet. The far righters actually skimmed some of his work some years back and decided he was one of them… then dropped him like a hot potato when they featured him on their teevee shows and found out what he actually thought.

Don’t be like the wingnuts.

Jesusbot relative posts this…

They could have posted her previous video “Trump Won” (or the whole album of the same name).

She claims all the proceeds from sales will go servicemen and women, without specifying how or what organisations.

I smell another Christian liar and grifter.

She started her Christian singing career in 2013, singing typical Christian contemporary music, until she went round the bend in 2023. I imagine for those who like Christian contemporary music, she dragged along her fan base into her delusions about Trump.

I am unable to find any song of hers which charted in Christian contemporary song listings.
