Peace Activists Publish Video of taking Israelis Hostage

Western Peace Activist group Cultures of resistance have published video of one of the Israeli victims being dragged down the staircase….

Skip to 5:10 of the video. The man with the beard is self proclaimed human shield Kevin Neish. He shows an intelligence pamphlet taken off the previously captured soldiers.
At 5:40 he announces “We’ve got another soldier”. Click over to Vimeo and watch it in full screen. It’s an unconscious soldier. He then proudly tells the camera that they’ve already taken two hostages down already. They carry the soldier to the bottom of the staircase and continue off to the left.

Slightly less important: What’s up with the onions at 6:20?

i am all out of witty things to say on this topic.

instead, i'll start out by re.posting this list, provided by the council of young israel, of the chayalim in need of healing:

it is the jewish tradition that when we pray for healing, we use the individual's mother's name.

also, i will add this: taking hostages seems to be a shared modus operandi for these "activists." where is gilad shalit's flotilla?

Yes, I think the whole video is a little out of order. I'm curious about the blood on the ladder they show early on. I'm not sure where that happened in the timeline.

It looks like that ladder appears again without blood. Perhaps there are identical ladders on the boat. But it seems more likely that it is the same ladder. Perhaps the re-ordering edit is to make it seem as if there was carnage before the commandos are captured?

Could be but I don't think there's much logic behind the editing. It's more or less in order but pretty much random. I don't think they put much thought into it.

Well, if you google 'onions "smelling salts"' there are a lot of results (though not necessarily from reputable sites). And there are surely some people right there who are serious injured and possibly in shock.

For some reason, YNet links to a youtube click of Democracy Now!'s highly edited version of this. Only shows the victims/wounded. No sign of the Israeli soldier inside the boat.

I'm not really sure what is new in this video that we hadn't seen before.

just wanted to point out, the "blood" on the ladder is infact red paint from israeli paintball guns.

the man crouching by the life boat and talking to the camera around 1:45 is explaining this in norwegian.

just watched the full 1 hour video at the website from the clip. this version has edited out an israeli boat making an unsuccessful boarding attempt on the starboard side of the ship, just before the helicopter comes overhead. this boarding attempt is when the red paintballs are fired at the side of the ship, as the israelis try to repell the people throwing chairs and miscelaneous objects at them from above.

i don't understand how anyone, after seeing all the video of this incident, can still sit there and claim the passengers of the mavi marmara were pacifists simply trying to deliver humanitarian supplies, its absurd. many of the activists and their advocates had even been claiming the israelis fired at the ship before boarding, there was no evidence to confirm or deny this except for israeli counter claims, until now. this video has put that myth to bed, thankfully. just goes to show the degree of lying and manipulation people are willing to go to in order to acheive their political goals.
