"And basically at this point, if you're looking for a peaceful, political recourse there really isn't one that we can think of..."

Except an election next year. Nah, I'm sure an armed revolt will work better.

These people are absolutely bugfuck insane. Full stop.

It's amazing how much the election of a black man to the White House has unhinged some folks.

From James King at the Phoenix Times:

ALIPAC is a controversial organization for a few reasons: It has the support of cuddly organizations like the Ku Klux Klan and former "Grand Wizard" David Duke, which has prompted Hayworth's primary opponent, Senator John McCain, to call for Hayworth to "disavow" the endorsement.

Somos Republicans isn't thrilled with the whole Klan association, but its beef is more about some of the language ALIPAC supporters use on the organization's Web site -- namely "wetback," "taco bender," "wetback roundup," and "pepper belly."

Check it out here.

We called ALIPAC organizer William Gheen and had to listen to a blast of profanity and his asking us to contact him by e-mail in the future so he could shove a hard copy of our questions "up [our] ass." He threatened to "sue the shit out of" New Times for even asking about racist language on the Web site.

Gheen says the language was posted by other people, not members of the group's executive board, although he admitted to using the term "wetback" in the past.

It's a big-tent batshit gang, they're also birthers:

MARICOPA COUNTY, Ariz. – At the request of tea-party leaders in Arizona, famed Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio has promised to investigate the validity of Barack Obama's purported long-form birth certificate in a determination of the president's eligibility for the county's 2012 election ballot.

Tea party leaders in Surprise, Ariz., met with Arpaio and WND senior reporter Jerome Corsi Thursday morning to express concern that a fake birth certificate would be used to document the president's eligibility to run in Maricopa County, where Arpaio is the chief law-enforcement officer.

Arpaio's tough crackdown on illegal immigration has made him a national figure.

At a one-hour meeting in Arpaio's office, the tea-party leaders presented the sheriff with a petition that was drafted after a speech by Corsi the previous night. Corsi, author of a best-selling book

challenging Obama's eligibility, "Where's the Birth Certificate?", presented evidence from numerous computer-imaging specialists who believe the document presented by the White House April 27 is not authentic.

I guess they don't think they can win elections anymore. Maybe they know 2010 was an singular event and Americans aren't feeling the TPs anymore.

Looking at Gheen's statements, there's no doubt in my mind that he's a bonafide white nationalist. He's using ALL of the buzzwords in his rhetoric:

ALIPAC: Democrats Want To Recruit Gay Immigrants To "Bring Down" America

Targeting anybody for importation into the country based on their sexuality doesn't sound like something that Congress should be messing with at all," contends William Gheen, president of Americans for Legal Immigration (ALIPAC).

But he says this legislation fits right into the left's agenda of changing the traditional values that made America great.

"They're looking to bring in anybody challenging the established culture inside the United States that they want to bring down," Gheen suggests. "And though the majority culture of the United States for the last 200 years has been predominately European Christian...they are looking for anybody that would take issue with that. And, of course, Christianity preaches against sodomy."

The ALIPAC president concludes that the traditions that made America great have clearly fallen uner [sic] siege by the "do as thou will" crowd.

Given that he is now advocating a violent removal of a sitting US President - and there's no way that you can read his latest statement any differently, ALIPAC should, in my opinion have any governmental status and/or access revoked, and if it isn't already done, Gheen placed on the Secret Service and/or FBI watch list.

I will be so happy when Arpaio is wearing a pink jumpsuit and sitting in the jail he helped build. It is very, very close to happening now, due to the findings regarding his keeping two sets of books, and funneling roughly $100 million to personal-usage accounts.

So, this is the group that says in its name that it wants legal immigration? Who do they want to legally immigrate? Doesn't sound like anyone.

Sounds to me like he only wants white, American fundies to immigrate here. Doesn't make much sense.

Yeah, I think they're all in America already.

But that's our history, since the Pilgrims were white fundies.

Why do you hate American history?
