I wonder if she pays her rent like that.

She's broken the Corleone contribution scandal wide open.

How do we know when we've hit the target? When wingnuts all start hooting and gibbering in unison. The right wingers on Twitter are all spewing insults at me over this Page.

Good work, Alouette.

And the Twitter counter is already over 160. Excellent.

I understand that Fredo made a secret deal to support Romney.

I'm laughing now. Epic fail indeed. Reminded me of this song.

If she was dumb enough to use her own CC while giving a fake name, the bank might flag the transaction as suspicious and freeze the card.

Pam has one comment so far:

Good article, but it's spelled "Adolf Hitler". I know because I attended high school in Germany.

For the life of me, I have no idea what these nitwits are trying to prove here.

I'm not going to do it, but if someone wanted to make trouble for Pamela they could report her post to the credit card company. It's a blatant admission of fraud.

Pam thinks an international Muslim conspiracy elected Obama.

They can donate to the Obama campaign online while giving fake names.

THAT PROVES SOMETHING

.

The Obama campaign site is probably just a packaged website with an https layer for the donations page, which they used straight out of the box without enabling additional security features.

16 Charles Johnson  Mon, Apr 2, 2012 9:08:45pm

re: #15 Learned Mother of Zion

What she doesn't seem to understand is that even if the Obama campaign site is not checking names against CC numbers, that doesn't give her the license to commit fraud.

17 goddamnedfrank  Mon, Apr 2, 2012 9:11:03pm

Here we go again, the Address Verification System and how the codes work. Basically, only American Express checks names, Visa and Mastercard's system do not look to see if the name matches. The online merchant requests and keeps the information given in case a fraud charge is made after the transaction is authorized. Obama's website may only be using the CVV2 number for verification and not AVS, which only looks at the numerical components anyway, and there's nothing wrong with this.

18 goddamnedfrank  Mon, Apr 2, 2012 9:14:28pm

re: #17 goddamnedfrank

Also, from the AVS wiki page:

"Declined due to AVS mismatch", the authorization code, along with the hold on the authorized funds, will remain on the customer's card until the card issuing bank removes the authorization. As a result, the held funds may be subtracted from the customer's available balance, and an online statement may reflect the authorization request which might be mistaken for an actual charge. Most card issuing banks will remove authorizations within 3–7 days if they are not claimed for settlement.

It's entirely possible, probable even that Pamela is freaking out over charges that have already, automatically begun the process of being reversed.

21 Vicious Babushka  Tue, Apr 3, 2012 6:46:24am

Just for control sake, has anyone tried to do this on the Romney and other GOP donation sites?

22 Locker  Tue, Apr 3, 2012 6:57:01am

Hey everybody! I broke the law, committed fraud and am yelling about it! So did some of my friends! Watch what happens when I call in the fraud to the bank! Oh wait... oops!

What a freaking idiot.

Thump&Whip:
International cracker ring infiltrates the Obama Cartel

Sporting the latest Kellogg’s decoder rings and continental old ballcaps, the Mark Fuhrmans of the worldwide whack keep an eye on the Obama campaign. Pajamas Media provides the morning coffee, beehive hairdos and a friendly ‘hey fellas’ before they start in on breakfast table recon and counter-jihad.

Most days, they don’t manage to capture or kill the President. But yesterday looked to be different. It held enormous promise because they planned to berserk his internet website. Specifically, they aimed to drive Obambi’s servers raving mad by donating to his campaign. If this sounded like a strange strategy, then it was.

I never thought anything Pamela Geller might say could make me laugh.

I was so wrong.

26 gummitch  Tue, Apr 3, 2012 10:53:34am

Pamela thinks there's a live person (albeit a dirty Democrat) sending those email responses to donations. "Oh, man, there [sic] so dumb, they didn't know Adolph Hitler was a hoax!"

27 HappyWarrior  Tue, Apr 3, 2012 11:49:48am

Reminds of the time an (older) gentleman told me something along these lines: "I tried to send you an email but a nice man calling himself the 'mailer daemon' wrote back and told me that you couldn't be reached at that email."

Off topic fun trivia fact: playwright and actor Sam Shepard played with the Holy Modal Rounders for a time. Drums I think.

Am I the only one who thinks that their alias choices were more revealing than they think...?
