“To make a barbecue when Jews are mourning and feeling the pain of the six million?” he said. “What authorization is there for that?”

Let me take a stab at this. According to religious crazy whacko logic, since God allowed the Holocaust to happen, it was his will, so why dwell on it? No one mourns all of the dead that drowned in the God caused flood do they? Sodom and Gomorrah memorial services?

It’s crazy religion, what are you going to do?

I had nothing to do with this incident. I am Just pointing out the motivational absurdities of religion in general.

Since there is freedom of religion in Israel , what they did was lawfull , no matter how distatsefull . However when the same said orthodox stone passing vehicles or harrass those who do not observe the Sabbath the way that they do …That is breaking the law .

Downding and move on, as usual.

This seems to be in very poor taste. Doesn’t holocaust mean burnt offering?

This is untrue! Judaism is a very rational religion. But since there’s no central human authority, there’s nothing to stop a few people with extreme ideas from practicing their beliefs.

The traditional Jewish service mourns the Egyptians who drowned:

Here’s an explanation from the book “The Jewish Way”.

And for the Egyptians who perished during the plagues:

Wine is spilled during the Passover Seder to mourn the fact that G-d inflicted suffering on his Egyptian children. (See myjewishlearning.com )

& that’s why they get arrested for crap like that. Luckily, they are few in number.

Keep in mind that the ultra orthodox in Israel are against the state. They believe the state should not exist until the messiah comes.

re: #6 Dark_Falcon

Because actual debate and trying to see his opinion is just too hard. Let’s just pretend he’s a hater and an antisemite - that’s much more comfortable a mindset for us to pretend we’re “downding”, huh?
Laziness. Not even willfully ignorant - you’re obviously just too lazy to even attempt to see Destro’s point.
I face this at this site, too - it’s as if some of you prefer people you disagree with to be antisemitic so you don’t have to think - so you just merrily pretend that is the case.
You devalue the entire issue, Dark Falcon. You’re contributing to antisemitism with your lazy idiocy - not standing against it.

re: #8 ReamWorks SKG

I suggested this once - and was called an antisemite. Because the new jewish way to so many, now, is apparently adhering without question to right wing ideologies.
Question Bibi’s honesty or integrity, and obviously you’re not a true Jew. And clearly an antisemite. This new modern Judaism is not the Judaism I know and love. And of course, that makes me Hitler’s pen pal. To people like Dark Falcon .

Netuera Kiri is a prime example - when religion reaches the height of the ridiculous .
