Tahar Mejri: ‘Where Is My Son?’ Tears and Trauma at Nice Hospital
Yet more Muslims killed in the Nice Attack. This is in addition to those mentioned in my earlier pages here and here. I’ll stop barraging you with sad images now—this is primarily for the people you’ll encounter who tell you Islam/Muslims are the problem. As I said before, that’s bullshit—it’s about extremism vs. moderation.
Nice, France: Tahar Mejri looks exhausted as he stumbles out of the children’s hospital in Nice where he went in desperate search of his four-year-old son, Kylan.
“I have called everywhere, police stations, hospitals, Facebook and I can’t find my son. I have been looking for him for 48 hours,” he tells AFP.
“My wife is dead, where is my son?” Mejri is one of hundreds whose life changed in an instant when a truck careered into a crowd of people who had just enjoyed a Bastille Day fireworks display in Nice on Thursday.
A few hours later his search came to an end at the Pasteur Hospital in the north of the city where he learned that his son was dead. […]
Over at the Daily Mail Tahar Mejri’s wife’s full name is given (Olfa Bent Souyah Khalfallah), there is a photo of the 4-year-old son he lost (as well as other victims), and there are additional photos of Mejri himself. There’s also a video of him screaming in anguish when he learns about his son’s death. I’m not gonna link to that—if you want to see it you can google it easily enough, but I don’t recommend it.
