Volcanic sulfur and ash precipitate out quickly. After a couple of years they are gone.

What we are doing will stay in the atmosphere for millennia.

The current global YoY increase in CO2 is the highest on record, even with all the hoopla over cutting emissions.

The science on cooling due to volcanic events is not settled yet. High latitude eruptions can cause markedly cooler decades, and we have no idea what a Deccan Traps or Yellowstone event would do (It wouldn’t be good.)
