I agree in part of what you are saying here, I understand the sentiment. However, the assertion that keeping creationism out of schools is “not political” is false. The so called conservative movement (or at least large sways of it) would love to put creationism in schools all across the country. Opposing them is very political indeed. As well as moral.

I’m arguing the morality of the issue.

And I’d argue the against the morality of teaching kids those things Kevin Jennings holds dear.

I don’t give a rats ass about the politics and neither should you.

Morality is absolute- politics is anything but.
