Rats. This thing is so complex, laying on top of ejabberd, and I can’t tell where to start diagnosing the problem. It looks like one of the services isn’t starting up right, because the process exists but the log file for it is empty—until I stop the process, and then all of a sudden stuff happens. But it’s supposed to be registering things when it starts, and it doesn’t.
