Can you eleborate? I’m currently running IE and Vista.

All PC’s are different, given the operating system and loaded drivers.
There is simply no way to tell you whether an installation of any browser will improve things before you try it.

On the upside, installing Safari (or FireFox or anything else) will NOT wipe out your existing IE tools, and you should be able to revert back to that if you don’t like Safari.

It is virtually impossible to uninstall Internet Explorer.
