Proverbs refers to a king sitting on ‘kisay din’, ‘seat of justice’. I don’t know if they’d have made a dramatic special one for the king, or if it’s just that when you’re sitting as judge, you get to sit down and everyone else stands up.

It seems Shlomo Hamelech (King Solomon) had quite an elaborate throne.
