Dang. I completely missed the edge when we went over. Must have been in my bunk.

I was in a tour bus with Al Jarreau once when the driver stopped by the side of the road in Florida, on Alligator Alley, in the middle of the night to take a leak. Thing is, he forgot to put on the emergency brake, and it was on a slight hill. The bus actually started to roll when he noticed and yelled “OH SHIT,” ran back to his seat and got to the brakes just in time.

Would have been interesting because we were right next to the water there, supposedly full of gators. The headline would have been: “Entire Al Jarreau Band Eaten Alive by Alligators.”
