Did you just start paying attention to politics within the last year? Presidents and candidates go out of their way to show their masculinity and virility while the opposition makes fun of them for doing it. They made fun of Kerry for sailing, bush for his baseball, riding his bike, and golfing. Clinton for his golf, Reagan for being a cowboy and riding horses, etc., etc. etc.

When you have actual cases of incredible cultural insensitivity like the VA gov this week you don’t need to make stuff up to be offended over. Gingrich can be accused of a lot of things but his quip last night was a typical political cheap shot, not a racist cheap shot.
