Your story pretty much scared me back to “play it safe” mode. I’d like to open a small shop, but my fear is not having enough orders to pay the bills.

On the other hand, the moral of your story rings true. I recently raised prices 20% after agonizing over it for months. And I partly did it because I’d been so busy I was up til 3 every morning, and thought that raising prices would mean fewer or smaller orders. None of my customers batted an eye at the increase.
