Morning, all!

Maybe only tangentially related, but I went to see the soon-to-be 86-years-old B.B. King (and Lucille) this past Sunday up in Bangor.

If you’ve ever been to one of those nice amphitheaters with the pricey landscaping — this wasn’t that.

Every seat in the place was a folding chair, and if you were unfortunate enough to be seated at the far right of the expensive section, your concert experience was enhanced by the subtle aroma of the nearby row of port-a-potties. This place was small.

Mr. King is no longer agile, but the man still howls like a banshee.

I’d guess there were maybe 2,000+ in attendance; I don’t think the promoters had to give out many refunds after Gregg Allman cancelled.

All four bands on the bill got to do at least one encore. It was really nice being part of such an appreciative audience.
