Not all Christians teach or believe in the Trinity, Jehovah’s Witnesses for example. The Trinity is a specifically Catholic invention, and while it may be monotheistic, from my agnostic point of view it also smacks somewhat of schizophrenia.

The vast majority of Christians are trinitarian and most of those regard non-trinitarian branches like Jehovah’s Witnesses or Mormons as non-Christians. And while the Trinity was borne out of the Roman-Catholic Church, AFAIK it is firmly embraced by Protestantism and Orthodox Christianity alike.
