It also seems to vastly underestimate the amount of guerrilla resistance there would be in the US. It just says that any resistance would be savagely stamped out. One might think that a people that have never faced actual invasion would be the easiest targets for it, but I really don’t think so. I don’t think Americans would adjust well to being invaded, no matter how subtle it was. I think people would lose their shit.
