It may be my perception of what they are thinking, but as a general rule I will hold my tongue on that if it does not affect me in any obvious way.

Sometimes, I think and actually am certain that some have had bad or painful experiences in the past with some church people, and that causes them to generalize that others are trying to railroad them into changing what they think. Really too general imo.

Falwell was a prime example of one who would impose his beliefs on others, and specifically here we are concerned with their efforts to influence education for all in their direction. That deserves response.

Your response seems primarily focussed on whether or not one is being offensive, without recognizing that it is offensive to many to manipulate the system to impose one religious belief or another on everyone.
