What you were quoting is in regards to the Pope’s temporal power in politics in relation to other states— mostly in the Vatican recognizing rulers, and exerting actual control over territory other than the Vatican in Italy.

What you have posted, strangely enough, completely supports what I said.

Things that persist are not gone.

The Pope is the absolute monarch of the Vatican City State, which is— as even what you post states— the temporal power of the church. That was the limit of what I claimed, and what you posted supports this, rather than contradicts this.
