I was in the Explorers, and we had a trip to Otis AFB. We were in a car at the end of the runway while the Air National Guard took off in F-106’s. They were LOUD, and you really felt it when they kicked in the afterburner.

I remember those jets at Otis. We used to vacation on the Cape, that’s where my mom is from, so we’d go for two weeks and see family. The highlight for me was seeing those jets!
