I was interested to note yesterday the discussion at FR started with Obamacare delusions, prayers for the child and the like, but then a couple people posted about the shortage of organs, the difficulties of transplanting adult lungs into children and so on. They weren’t jumped on and the topic kind of withered on the vine.
I know a lot of them want to make this political, but the obvious problems with bumping a child up the list because her parents are actively lobbying for her (for which I don’t fault them-they’re her parents and they want her to live) rather than sound medical judgement is something most people can recognize.
