Part of the reason I don’t group often when I do play.

The problem being, of course, that too much of most MMOs requires a group. Especially the more modern, less creatively designed MMOs - repetitive dungeons packed with giant monsters that absolutely require 20+ idiots to mash buttons to defeat does not an interesting game make.
