The question was not asked in a vacuum, it was asked about him having TWO US PASSPORTS. It was then asked if he could have 2 passports legally, in response to the revelation the he had TWO US PASSPORTS. The question did not materialize out of thin air, it was an extension of a process that was understood to mean he had 2 US passports.

Well, the particularly irritating thing is that the answer could easily have been phrased as ‘You can, but not of the same nationality.’ Instead, I need to read through the article to confirm that it makes no mention of two passports from one nation. I think pretty much anyone who is aware of dual citizenship could figure out that one can have a passport from both nations.

Not really a post that looks like it is intended to clarify anything.
