but would the Court do that without a period of arguments as happens in most cases? Or are they just more likely today or whenever to simply say whether they agree or not to hear the case?

I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if they’re dragging their feet all the way til Monday if only so they can try to kill the whole charade dead with little time to launch further legal efforts before the electors vote.
