I’m for single-payer or public option, by the way. My objection is only that I think socialism has gotten smushed around too much of a concept and I’m kind of sick of hearing it applied to random crap. I know you’re trying to redeem the word and show that many things that Americans like very well are, in some manner or another ‘socialist’, but I just think the semantics of it makes it weirder and more unclear when one does so.

Like that paragraph I just wrote, for example: good luck understanding that mess.
